BIO:
Thea Belle Flanzer is a writer and actress originally from New York.
Getting her start in the world of theater, Thea’s plays have been presented at The Tank, Valdez Theater Conference, KCACTF, Glass Ceiling Breakers Festival, The Secret Theatre, The Players Theatre, and the Equity Library Theater Festival. She has also been selected for writing fellowships at The Geffen Playhouse, Arena Stage, and The Playwrights’ Theatre of New York.
As an actor, she has worked at The Gateway Playhouse, The Tank, Bay Street Theatre, and Theatre Row. She currently trains at John Rosenfeld Studios— and has previously trained at The Royal Academy for Dramatic Art in London and HB Studio in New York.
Her short documentary, Shorebreak, won best student film at Offshore Film Festival. During her time at UCLA, Thea has also worked with Hamptons Film Festival and Nantucket Film Festival as a member of their screening committees. She is currently developing her first narrative short film.
Thea's screenwriting focuses on female-driven stories that play with ideas like truth, ambition, and self-agency. BA: Georgetown.
