BIO:
Jade Johann is a screenwriter from Kansas City, Missouri. She has a deep affinity for her hometown: the jazz history, the incredible sports teams, and, of course, jumps with joy every time it is referenced by Jason Sudeikis in Ted Lasso.
In 2023, Jade earned a bachelor’s degree in video studies from Missouri State University. She put it to good use by becoming a marketing videographer for the college, and is credited with birthing the idea for a video that made gossip rounds all the way to the Missouri State Capitol building… How many people can boast they convinced their own university president to try ASMR?
Jade is interested in exploring complex character relationships across genres and often gravitates toward themes of rediscovering purpose in your life. In 2024, Jade was a writer on the up-and-coming all-women-produced web series Bernadette the Brave.
In 2025, Jade was the recipient of UCLA’s Howard J. Green Award in Screenwriting.
