BIO:
Ben Sasportas has been cultivating his creative pursuits for as long as he’s been walking the Earth. Growing up in New Jersey, he first cultivated a love for broadway theater and spent years training as an actor at McCarter Theatre in Princeton. After maturing into a bona fide theater kid in high school, Ben found himself drawn to the art of film, and to that of writing. To create the worlds he had previously been content to simply play in.
In his time at undergrad at the University of Miami, Ben wrote and directed more than a dozen short films and two full features. As he’s grown older and wiser since moving to LA and enrolling in this prestigious program, he’s challenged himself to dig deeper than he had in his previous work and create art that will truly stand the test of time. Along the way he’s learned the importance of subtext, trust, and gold dust. He humbly presents the (imperfect) fruits of these labors to you.
